From basic budgeting help to foreclosure prevention, our team strives to meet as many of our clients’ needs as possible. We are constantly adjusting our programming to meet the ever-changing needs of our community.
One of the current opportunities we offer to the community is our Fair Shot Program. Fair Shot is a partnership between HOPE and several area banks. Through this program, we offer free financial literacy, taught by professional bankers. Having bankers as instructors is very helpful because they have firsthand knowledge about what banks are looking for in regards to qualifications, home loans, and down payments.
Overall, this program is a great step for those interested in receiving more in-depth counseling through our agency. It has also proven to be very beneficial for low-income residents by providing them with a basic understanding of how credit works, what it means, and tips on how to approach budgeting. We also go in-depth on how to build credit and apply for a mortgage.
There are no income requirements for an individual to attend the Fair Shot classes, so anyone interested in learning more about financial literacy is welcome to join. We offer the classes once a month during the last week of each month. Visit our Facebook page for updated Fair Shot class information and learn how to apply!
